AI-DLC Academy under Project Kalam is designed to bring real-world AI skills to every college student in India. Here is who can join and how selection works.
You must be an active undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) student at a college affiliated with an AI-DLC Champion.
Ability to use a laptop/desktop with internet access. You will be working with browser-based tools and simple terminal commands.
Students from all engineering and science disciplines are welcome — CSE, ECE, IT, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, and more.
You must be able to dedicate at least 20 hours over the course duration: 5 hours of theory sessions and 15+ hours of hands-on labs.
All submissions must be your own original writing. Use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) to write your final report will result in automatic disqualification.
A valid Google email (Gmail) account is required for enrollment, authentication, and certificate delivery.
Your college SPOC (Single Point of Contact) shares the enrollment link for your college batch.
Complete the enrollment form with your name, roll number, department, and email. First-come, first-served. Batches are capped at 20 students.
Your batch begins once all enrolled students are confirmed by your SPOC.
Attend all theory and hands-on lab sessions delivered by your AI-DLC Champion.
Submit your original learning report through the academy portal. AI-content detection runs automatically.
Students who score 70 or above receive the AI-DLC Student Certified digital badge — a unique, verifiable credential with a public URL you can add to LinkedIn.
The AI-DLC Academy uses advanced AI content detection on every submitted report. Submissions that score above 60% likelihood of being AI-generated are automatically rejected. Students may appeal once with a rewritten submission, which is then evaluated by an AI judge for genuine learning and understanding.
Tools that will get you disqualified: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Jasper, Grammarly AI, or any other AI writing tool. Write in your own voice — share your struggles, your aha moments, and what you actually built.
